Sweets in Bags

e-Commerce Website | Logo & Branding | Infographics

Sweets in Bags approached Digiwool for an eCommerce online sweet shop and complete logo and branding identity. They are based in Sherborne, Dorset and sell vintage style confectionery. The project required a logo and brand design system that was modern and clean, as opposed to vintage and retro looking. I built a fully responsive e-Commerce website that allows purchases on any device, and which adapts its design to each device to ensure the user experience is as seamless and intuitive as possible. Sweets In Bags — Logo Design SherborneThere’s been a resurgence in vintage / retro confectionery shops and many of them are online ecommerce retailers. Mark, who runs Sweets in Bags, was clear that he didn’t want a typically vintage looking webshop because there were many others already doing it. So Digiwool designed a modern looking, fun and functional logo that grabs potential customers’ attention and entices them into trusting the brand.

It’s crucial for a website, and particularly for an ecommerce website, to shout ‘integrity’ and ‘trustworthiness’ as soon as prospective customers see it. The logo and wider branding is the most significant contributor to instilling these feelings in people so it has to be bang-on-message.

I also designed a lot of assets for the website, including a number of sweet illustrations, infographics, photo-imagery, product labelling and others, and I carried the branding across all of them so it’s consistent and strong.

I used WooCommerce to build the shop which allows for simple and flexible online shop management. If you’ve never managed an e-Commerce website, before, don’t worry, I make it really easy in my design and the Woocommerce engine makes it a doddle to update, amend and add new products and track orders.

So if you’re looking for e-Commerce Dorset, Digiwool can help!
